The Settings section of Apify Console is where you can manage your profile, security options, integrations, notifications, and team accounts. Each tab is designed to help you stay in control of your account, keep your data secure, and make sure you only receive the updates that matter to you.
Overview of account settings
The Settings section is divided into several tabs where you can update different aspects of your Apify account:
Account: Manage your personal profile details and preferences, including email, username, theme, session settings, and account deletion.
Login & Privacy: Control how you sign in and protect your account: update your password, enable two-factor authentication (2FA), manage active sessions, and review recovery information.
API & Integrations: Manage API access and external connections. Generate and revoke API tokens, connect third-party apps, and review connected services.
Organizations: Create a new organization, convert your personal account, or manage memberships and roles.
Notifications: Choose how and when to receive updates from Apify, including email and platform alerts.
Referral: Access your referral link, track referral activity, and view earned rewards.
Account
This tab helps you manage your personal profile and account preferences: settings for signing in, displaying your account, and performing sensitive actions. Keeping this information up to date ensures smooth access to the platform and accurate communication.
Username: Change your public display name. This is how other Apify users see you across the platform.
Profile: Update your account email and basic information. Ensures you can sign in successfully and receive important notifications and alerts.
Theme: Switch between light and dark modes.
Danger zone: Critical actions, such as permanently deleting your account. Proceed with caution, as these actions are irreversible.
Login & Privacy
Use this tab to secure your account, manage access, and protect your personal information, especially when working on public or shared devices. This tab also controls how long you stay signed in and which security measures are active.
Password: Update your password regularly to maintain security.
Two-factor authentication (2FA): Add an extra layer of protection by requiring a verification code from an authenticator app.
Session: Review all devices currently signed in. Sign out from individual devices or end all sessions to prevent unauthorized access. The default session lifespan is 90 days.
💡 Good to know!
Re-entering your password adds extra protection when updating sensitive settings, helping prevent unauthorized changes - especially on shared or public devices.
Recovery information: Keep your recovery details current to restore access if you ever lose credentials.
API & Integrations
This tab is where you control programmatic access and external connections. Mismanaged integrations can expose your account to risks or disrupt automated workflows.
API tokens: Generate or revoke personal tokens for secure programmatic access.
Third-party apps and services: Review connected apps and remove those no longer needed.
Connected third-party accounts: Check services used directly by Apify, such as GitHub for linking Actor source code or monitoring notifications.
For detailed guidance, see the Apify integrations documentation.
Organizations
Manage team accounts and collaboration settings here. Converting your personal account or creating a new organization lets you centralize billing, integrations, and project management. Conflicts with other memberships can prevent these actions, so it’s important to manage memberships carefully.
Create organization: Set up a dedicated account for your team or business.
Convert personal account: Turn your personal account into an organization account.
Tip: If you see “You cannot convert your account to an organization while you are a member of other organizations”, leave those organizations first.
Membership management: Assign roles, review access, and remove inactive members.
For detailed guidance, see the Organization account documentation.
Notifications
Control which alerts you receive and how they reach you. Proper configuration ensures you stay informed without being overwhelmed.
Actors: Updates on Actor activity, errors, or reviews.
Billing: Alerts when billing limits are reached or prepaid usage is exhausted.
Usage: Notifications when platform credits are consumed faster than expected.
Actor development: Updates on public Actors from developers.
Scheduled runs: Alerts if your scheduled tasks fail to execute.
Integrations: Notifications about integration failures or changes.
Other email communication: Manage subscription preferences for product updates or company communications.
Referral

Referral link: Access your unique link to share with others.
Referral activity: Track sign-ups from your shared link.
Referral rewards: View rewards earned from successful referrals.
