Understanding your billing helps you avoid surprise costs as you scale. You'll find everything you need in the Billing section, which is organized into 6 tabs:

  • Current period: Track real-time usage for your current billing cycle.

  • Historical usage: Review past usage data and spending trends.

  • Subscription: View your current plan details and payment information.

  • Pricing: See detailed costs for compute units, proxies, and storage.

  • Invoices: Access your full billing history.

  • Limits: Set spending limits to avoid overages.

Current period

The Current period tab shows your total usage and the start and end dates for your current billing cycle.

๐Ÿ’ธ Unused prepaid usage

Prepaid usage (credits) expires at the end of each billing period and doesn't roll over to the next period.

For a quick overview, check the Plan consumption bar. You'll find a detailed breakdown of costs for Actors, data transfer, proxy, and storage below.

Historical usage

The Historical usage tab provides an overview of your past platform usage before any discounts are applied. All subsequent discounts or free units are applied to your final invoice later.

You can filter data on a monthly or daily basis and choose between absolute or cumulative views. Because this usage data displays for a calendar month, it may differ from your personal billing cycle.

Below the chart, you'll find the Usage by Actors section, a great place to start when trying to identify unexpected costs. It leads you directly to the Actors where you're spending the most.

Subscription

On the Subscription tab, you can see your current plan and make changes to your billing. Use this tab to:

  • Update your payment method.

  • Update your billing details. Keep these up to date, as Apify cannot modify past invoices due to local accounting regulations.

  • Add your VAT ID to apply for a VAT tax exemption.

  • View upcoming invoice details (available for paying customers).

  • Buy add-ons like extra proxies or Actor memory (available for paying customers).

  • Apply a coupon code.

Pricing

On the Pricing tab, you can quickly check the exact compute unit, proxy, storage, and data transfer pricing for your current plan. This is useful for comparison when considering an upgrade to a higher plan.

Invoices

The Invoices tab provides access to all your current and past invoices for Apify platform usage.

Limits

The Limits tab shows platform limits for your current plan. This is where you can increase your limit, if needed. Platform limits are safeguards that help you manage your spending on the Apify platform.

By default, your platform limit matches your prepaid usage amount (e.g., $29 on the Starter plan). You can increase this limit, and you'll be billed for any overage at the end of your billing period.
